Today’s gift is Simplicity.
With so much information at our finger tips these days, so many conflicting messages and so many options to choose from it can be difficult to decide and easy to over complicate life.
So what can we learn from Nature?
Well although Nature can appear complex at times, there is also a beautiful simplicity too. .Nature doesn’t try to be a certain way, it just is. Whether that’s a tall oak tree standing alone, a tiny toadstool hidden in the shade, or a clear blue sky on a cold winter’s day.
We have a choice….to make things complicated or keep things simple.
These words from Jon Kabat-Zinn might also be worth considering.
“Voluntary simplicity means going fewer places in one day rather than more, seeing less so I can see more, doing less so I can do more, acquiring less so I can have more” “Jon Kabat-Zinn.
Take some time to be in nature whether outdoors or at home.
Set an intention to observe and discover simplicity in nature.
Pause and appreciate the simple things, whether a flower, a cloud or a leaf on the ground.
What insights or message do they have for you?
