I’ve been struck recently by how many people have asked me how busy I am. Which suggests perhaps that busyness is a habit, an expectation or even a measure of happiness and success. Yet I’d much prefer to accomplish more with less, be relaxed rather than stressed and take my time rather than rush through life. Somehow though, this addiction to busyness has taken quite a grip on society.
So maybe it’s worth pausing for a moment and considering the following questions –
Are you addicted to busyness?
Is it really necessary?
How can you be less busy and more effective? Less rushed and more mindful? Less stressed and more relaxed?
