Welcome to the year of the Rabbit!
This week marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year and the year of the Rabbit. And if you choose to believe in this ancient astrology then it promises to bring us some much-needed peace and tranquility after the turbulent tiger of 2010.
According to tradition, while the Tiger makes waves, the Rabbit brings peace. This is the year when diplomacy reigns and when the way to succeed is through negotiation and cooperation rather than forcing ideas upon others. It’s also a time to kiss and make up, forgive and forget and create harmony not conflict.
Which would surely be wise advice in any year, be it a Tiger, a Horse a Rat or a Snake ;-)
So we’ll see if the Rabbit lives up to it’s name by giving us chance to pause and catch our breath, by giving us time to relax and have fun, and by creating space for peacemakers to shine.
In the meantime, what will you do to create a little more peace, encourage greater cooperation and invite a deeper sense of harmony into your life? ;-)
And remember, “It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you don’t care who gets the credit” Harry S Truman
