Welcoming the Winter Solstice

Today we welcome the Winter solstice in the Northern hemisphere. A pivotal date in Nature’s calendar. The shortest day, the longest night, and a time to celebrate the return of the light as the days now begin to grow longer.

It’s also the moment in both hemispheres when the sun appears to ‘stand still’ in the sky.

And traditionally it’s a time for us too, to embrace the stillness, connect with the rhythm of nature and create space to reflect and prepare for the season ahead.

So with the festive period also upon us, perhaps this is Nature’s reminder to pause for a moment, take time for yourself and make space for some silence and stillness during these often, hectic times.

Below are a few ideas plus one or two questions to reflect on this Solstice.

Enjoy!

What is it time to let go? What is it that no longer serves you?

Where can you shine your light in the world?
